MySpace and Facebook

Joined MySpace and Facebook and completed tasks. Found Facebook to be much more user friendly. On Facebook I edited my profile, added friends and added myself to Deakin University Network. It took a while but I found Deakin’s MySpace page, I think. I just didn’t get MySpace. Ah well, I’ll keep working on it!

RSS feeds…mmmmmm

I created an account at Bloglines and subscribed to six news feeds. For anyone out there who is interested (why I can’t imagine), I have subscribed to:

About dogs. Info learn and understand your dog

BBC news /News front page/world edition

Bloglines/News

National Geographic News: Animals and Nature…

and I even managed one for my footy team,

Hawthorn Latest News Broadband.

With Sheila’s help, I now have a Blogroll and my RSS feeds are linked there under Bloglines (thank you Sheila), but try as I might, I could not for the life of me find the SHARE tab as per instructions. I have subscribed to Digg also and I am glad to leave feeds and diggs alone. You might have guessed by now I did not enjoy Week 5 and 6 so I’m off to “digg” my way out of here and explore MySpace and Facebook. Here’s hoping.

I would like to thank Rachel West for helping me upload photos for my Flickr account. Creating a Flickr account was easy. Knowing how to upload photos was the frustrating part. Could not have done it without you Rachel so thank you very much.

I have joined a Flickr group and I’m about to move on to the next task, Week 4 -8, play with Library thing. Hope it turns out to be as much fun as Week 4 -7, play with a funny image generator.

I’m enjoying reading other blogs and I’m about to post some comments. I’m on a roll!

Have had fun looking at and working my way round some of the things at Generator Blog for funny image generator, Week Four. I especially liked the site for Bob Dylan for sending messages. I’ve given Flickr “the flick” for the moment, but I’ll be back!

To helenw and kacjp thanks for your comments re the number 23. I agree with you Helen, 23 looks pretty scary. kacjp, thank you for your comments re 23 and sport. How could I forget 23 for Hawthorn..Lance (Buddy) Franklin. 23 is taking on a whole new meaning. I have visited lots and lots of blogs and am very impressed. Have only left a comment on one blog so far, but I will return.
